在瑞士小镇达沃斯，经历了两个冷清冬季后，多国领导人、政府高官和政商界人士纷纷再度聚首，参加2023年世界经济论坛年会（达沃斯论坛）。
当地时间1月20日，正在参加达沃斯论坛的法国财政部长布鲁诺·勒梅尔（Bruno Le Maire）在接受彭博社采访时表示，欧洲不应卷入中美之间的对峙，而应在加强经济关系方面开辟自己的道路。
他指出，欧洲和美国在对待中国的方式上存在“轻微差别”（slight gap），他同时强调，与中国合作应对气候变化和促进贸易等目标是符合欧盟自身利益的。
“美国想对垒中国，我们想与中国接触。”勒梅尔当天这样告诉彭博社：“我坚信，在世界博弈中，中国必须参与，不能退出。”
值得一提的是，法国总统马克龙当地时间1月19日接受西班牙《国家报》采访时也称，欧洲大陆正陷入“一场前所未有的危机”，俄乌冲突深刻动摇了欧洲的经济模式。他说，现在，欧洲国家面临着抉择：是成为美国或中国的附庸？还是走自己的道路？
他表示，上述问题目前还没有完全被回答，但他认为，答案在于“在经济、技术和军事方面建立一个主权的欧洲”，“换句话说，建立一个真正强大的欧洲”。
彭博社指出，无论是法国总统马克龙，还是法国财长勒梅尔，经常呼吁欧洲加强协调，以确保自己成为全球经济舞台上的第三股势力。因此，勒梅尔肯定会对美国的产业政策发表强硬言论。
而在达沃斯，勒梅尔就指责美国出台《通胀削减法案》这一产业政策，实则提供了大量补贴，损坏了欧洲的利益。
此前，随着俄乌危机延宕，越来越多的欧洲人士对美国拜登政府感到愤怒，指责美国从冲突中获利，而欧盟国家却在受苦。欧洲人特别对美国的《通胀削减法案》日益愤怒，该法案通过提供高额补贴吸引全球企业流向美国，引起欧洲和世界多国的警惕。
今年1月2日，欧盟外交与安全政策高级代表何塞普·博雷利（Josep Borrell）发表文章，批评美国政府的《通胀削减法案》损害欧洲企业利益，不尊重世界贸易组织（WTO）规则。
而在去年12月5日，法国财长勒梅尔在接受采访时则表示，法国相信，对美国《通胀削减法案》最好的回应是拥有欧洲的《通胀削减法案》，也就是欧洲拥有这种简单、有效且大面积的补贴方法来投资欧洲的工业。
《通胀削减法案》的另一个名称叫做“气候法案”，内容也涉及对抗气候变化。勒梅尔如今再度重申自己的这种观点，认为欧盟在应对气候变化立法时应该采取“双轨方针”，既要求美国让步，也要制定自己的措施。
“我们期待我们的美国朋友做出一些让步，但还有另一种方式，那就是实施一种欧洲的通《通胀削减法案》。时间是至关重要的，我们需要更加独立。”勒梅尔表示。
